I met my friend Helen last night. The first thing she said to me was, ‘Your makeup looks good.’ I thanked her, surprised by the compliment. ‘Your face looks yellow,’ she said, ‘which is good.’ I laughed. She laughed. ‘Well, you don’t want a pink face.’
