I had lunch with a friend today. She’s originally from Hong Kong and was talking about a woman she met there recently. ‘She has a very good face. Very pretty,’ said my friend. ‘Her nose holes are very small.’ She glanced at my nose and added, ‘Like yours.’ I took this as a compliment. ‘The girl had very small nose holes,’ she repeated. ‘Ha, she never shares anything.’
