I went out early this morning to get newspapers for my 87-year-old aunt and her neighbour. It took only 10 minutes to purchase and deliver the neighbour’s paper and return home. I was pleased to have the paper on the table for my aunt to read at breakfast.
My aunt was halfway through her morning Cheerios before she asked the hard question.
‘Did you lock the back door when you went out this morning?’
No, I admitted, I hadn’t thought.
‘What if I’d been attacked?’ She asked.
